"Dictionaries" is a comprehensive electronic dictionary viewer app, designed to enhance users' efficiency in utilizing multiple dictionaries. This integrated app combines our popular standalone apps, allowing users to conveniently search for words across various dictionaries simultaneously.

Users have the option to purchase and utilize a wide range of dictionaries, including English, Japanese, French, and more, through the app's "Dictionary Store," accessible within the app itself.

Search Functionality:

• The Batch Search (Consolidated Search) feature enables users to perform searches across multiple dictionaries simultaneously.
• Users can customize the display order of dictionaries used in the batch search for a personalized experience.
• The keyboard language automatically switches based on the dictionary search group selected.
• Handwriting input is supported for Japanese, Old Japanese, Kanji, Chinese, Korean, and Russian dictionaries.
• With the Pattern Search feature, users can find words even if they are unsure about part of the spelling.

Trace and Jump:

• By simply tracing words in a definition, users can effortlessly navigate not only within the same dictionary but between different dictionaries as well. This encourages a seamless exploration of knowledge and intellectual curiosity.

Collection:

• Purchased dictionaries are neatly displayed as icons on the Collection screen.
• Opening a dictionary from the Collection screen allows users to thoroughly explore its content. Even in this mode, users can make use of the "Trace and Jump" function to easily switch to another dictionary.
• The display order of dictionary icons on the Collection screen can be customized to suit individual preferences.

Bookmarks:

• Users can bookmark their favorite words and efficiently categorize them using Bookmark Folders.
• Quick Bookmark functionality enables users to swiftly add or remove bookmarks with a single tap on the Bookmark icon.

Search History:

• The History feature automatically records the frequency of word searches, ensuring that users can quickly spot words they frequently look up.

iCloud:

• By enabling iCloud, users can synchronize their Bookmark and History data across all their devices.

Dark Background Colors:

• In addition to the standard white background color, users can customize their reading experience with options like sepia or dark backgrounds. Dark background colors contribute to improved concentration abilities.

Multitasking:

• With the Multitasking function on iPad, users can view websites, documents, and more alongside their dictionary. Clipboard Search allows users to simply copy a word they wish to look up, and the app will find that word in multiple dictionaries.

Substantial Lineup:

• The Dictionary Store offers a vast selection of full-scale dictionaries, with plans for continuous expansion in the future.

Users who currently own standalone apps from Monokakido can seamlessly switch to the new app and download the corresponding content free of charge. This migration encompasses all standalone apps, ranging from the original WISDOM English-Japanese/Japanese-English Dictionary, released over 10 years ago, to our most recent offerings.
